The Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa and Homoeopathy (abbreviated as AYUSH) is purposed with developing education, research and propagation of indigenous alternative medicine systems in India. The Ministry occupies offices in the Ayush Bhawan complex at INA, New Delhi. These offices are arranged around a central courtyard.

The key office spaces on ground and first floor needed renovation as the teams had been restructured, the offices were not state of art and there was a requirement of large conference rooms. We worked for UPRRN to redesign and renovate the conference rooms on Ground floor, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister’s room, his conference room, waiting area and Hon’ble State Minster’s room on First Floor. Development of the central courtyard as a landscape court with yoga area was also part of the task.

The central courtyard is developed as a place to rejuvenate, interact and practice yoga. We have left the central area open and provided planting, seating areas and water bodies on the periphery. A series of sculptures in various Surya Namaskar poses are also placed within the courtyard to aesthetically elevate it and to inspire people to practice Yoga and enjoy its many health benefits. This landscaped courtyard is visible from the corridors on all floors giving the users a visual respite.
